Privacy Policy
Macopet is a macOS app in which a small dog lives on your screen. This policy explains what information Macopet handles, why, and the choices you have. Macopet is operated by Woobin Kim, an individual business in the Republic of Korea ("we").
1. The short version
- We do not read what you type, your window titles, app names or screen contents.
- Things the dog reacts to on your Mac (cursor, clicks, typing activity, window positions) stay on your Mac and are never sent to us.
- To keep your subscription and purchased treats, meals and play sessions across reinstalls and Macs, we store your sign-in identity and your purchase and usage records on our server.
- We have no ads, no analytics SDKs and no tracking. We never sell your information.
2. Information that stays on your Mac
To let the dog walk on windows and react to you, the app uses the following on your Mac only. It is processed in memory and not stored or transmitted:
- Pointer position and mouse button state (clicks and drags)
- The number of key presses and the time since the last input — never which keys were pressed
- Position, size and layer of visible windows, the Dock's position, and how many apps are open — never window titles, app names or screen pixels
- Whether the screen is locked
Your settings and time spent together are saved in the app's own folder on your Mac and are not sent to us.
3. Information we collect

We do not receive your payment card, billing address or name. Payments are processed by Apple.

Information is transferred over encrypted connections (HTTPS) when you sign in or use treats, meals, play sessions or purchases. If you do not want this transfer, you can use Macopet without signing in for browsing the introduction, prices, this policy and support, but subscriptions and purchases require an account.
5. Your rights
You can access, correct, delete or stop the processing of your information. You can delete your account in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account). Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; manage that in your Apple account settings. For other requests, email us at the address below. We will respond within 10 days.
6. Deletion
When you delete your account we revoke Sign in with Apple, delete your sign-in identity and remove the link between you and your records. [Pending review: minimal purchase records (transaction ID, product, time) without any link to you are kept for up to 5 years where required for tax and refund handling, then deleted.] Deleted data cannot be restored, and purchased items are not re-granted to a new account.
7. Security
All communication uses HTTPS. Our database cannot be accessed directly by the app; only server functions that verify your sign-in and Apple's signatures can change records. Secret keys are kept only on the server. Access is limited to the operator.
8. Children
Macopet is not directed to children under 14. [Pending review with the age rating.] If you believe a child under 14 has created an account without a parent's consent, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Cookies and tracking
The app uses no cookies, advertising identifiers or tracking. This website uses no cookies or analytics.
10. Changes
We will post changes on this page with a new version date, and tell you in the app before significant changes take effect.
